The radiating lines of Walter Burley Griffin's original city plan are only unveiled fully from above. Canberra skydivers are rewarded with a variety of spectacular views all year round - the distant snow capped mountains of the Australian Alps in winter, the carpet of rich warm colours of autumn, the blossoms and city wide floriade in spring and the warm balmy days of Canberra's very pleasant summers.

The weather is great for jumping all year round and there's acres of space to land in - just look at all the green areas in the aerial photo!  All jumps are made within airspace fully monitored by Air Traffic Control, so there's no chance of interference from other aircraft when you jump.

We don't do commercial skydiving any more. However, during our years of operation in Canberra, we worked very closely with the team at Aerial Skydiving. You can contact them for more detailed information, though general features are listed here.

Aerial Skydiving Package
When you make a tandem freefall over Canberra with Aerial Skydiving you get "the works" as listed below:

• Flight over Canberra.  During your 25 -30 minute flight to jump altitude you will be treated to the spectacular scenery of Canberra and the Brindabella Ranges.
• Student Membership of the Australian Parachute Federation. The APF is the governing body of Sport Parachuting in Australia and produces a skydiving magazine on the latest in the Sport in Australia.
• First Jump Certificate. Display your name with pride on the wall at home or the office. 
• 30-40 second adrenalin packed freefall ride from 12,000' above sea level. Although words cannot adequately describe the feeling, you won't stop talking about it for weeks.
• 5-8 minutes of soaring parachute ride. Plenty of time to learn the 'ropes' under the watchful eye of your Tandem Instructor and practice control of the steering, forward speed and even high speed downward spirals - (only recommended for those with strong stomachs!)
